Custom Metal Fabrication for Architectural Beautification Projects

July 16, 2010 By Hanna

If you’ve ever visited a large city, you know the sense of wonder you feel when looking up at tall buildings towering hundreds of feet overhead. At night, that sense of wonder is magnified in an almost magical way when the buildings light up and the city is aglow. Neon lights, digital billboards, and streetlights shine everywhere. A high skyscraper would not be half as magnificent without creatively designed lighting to accent its creative structure in the dark for thousands of observers. A metropolis just wouldn’t be the same at night without bright lights illuminating all the creatively shaped skyscrapers and other structures around the city.

When working with a custom metal fabricator for construction, such as Hendrick Architectural Products, one can find a number of solutions that add to the splendor of lighting. Perforated metal helps to diffuse the light evenly to brighten a larger area and display a logo or building front in all its splendor. Varying hole patterns can create different effects to spread light all around.

Perhaps a sign outside a company could also take advantage of the many benefits of perforated metal for lighting. A custom laser-cut sign could hang on a perforated metal background with lights shining from underneath. The light would then shine through easily on either side and illuminate the sign brilliantly.

On the building itself, lights could shine all around on the ground underneath by the wall, illuminating the structure for all to see as they pass by. Perforated metal panels placed around the building at various angles could help deflect the light in different directions. Sheet metal lettering built from highly reflective material and placed across the face of the building could be let by intense lighting to remind passersby of the company that resides there. Creatively placed panels and profile bars all around the building could help generate a stunning look at night when lights shine all around.

Perhaps a building has a plaza out front with a tall fountain near the entrance. One could illuminate the gently falling water at night by placing lights under a v-wire construction. Wedge tread v-wire screens contain wire welded securely to metal rods, wrapped around for a strong construction. The resulting product can easily diffuse light for a bright display. The plaza could be lit for visitors to stroll through in the evening and could contain various pieces of furniture, such as metal profile bar benches.

The city would be a very boring place at night without all of the imaginatively lit structures all around. Brilliant lights combine with custom metal construction to produce phenomenally bright effects at night for everyone enjoying an evening in the city.
